Atlético Madrid, in turn, was not priced nor considered a serious contender for the trophy, even though it sits in the top four teams in Europe. PSG and Bayern, in the face of such competitors, look like flawless football mechanisms. The Munich club would seem to be a more obvious favorite, but Real Madrid exposed some problems in Vincent Kompany's constructions, which Luis Enrique could exploit. PSG reached the semi-finals, having defeated three opponents in the past rounds of the playoffs. Moreover, with a quite understandable and familiar Monaco, the Parisian team suffered more than anyone. Chelsea and Liverpool are teams that Luis Enrique's side beat four times by two goals or more. As in the last season, PSG reached their peak form for the decisive matches of both the Champions League and Ligue 1. In Bayern's case, the peak of their form could be described as the entire season of the German champions. Considering that the German club finished in the Top 8 on aggregate, it had to reach the semi-finals by beating two opponents: Atalanta and Real Madrid. The first was beaten easily, with the second they struggled. Bookmakers named the home side favorites for the upcoming match, offering odds of 2.29 on their victory. PSG strengthened their position in Ligue 1 on Saturday, so they can head into the home match without much worry, pressure or nerves. Apparently, the race with Lens for the championship title has ended. In the last nine matches PSG won eight times, losing only to Lyon. In that match, the Parisians faced problems with motivation and mood, which often happens to them ahead of decisive Champions League matches. Bayern on Saturday secured a victory, having trailed Mainz 0-3 during the match. Once again, Kompany's team demonstrated its dominance over opponents in Germany. For the visitors, it's important to take at least a draw from Paris. Bayern's form does not leave doubt about their ability to reach such an outcome.
